Tatiana Sorton is a contemporary fibre artist whose practice explores the sculptural and tactile potential of wool through wet-felting, nuno-felting and hand embroidery. Working with British sheep wool, natural fibres and reclaimed textiles, she creates richly textured objects and wearable pieces that celebrate the material's inherent strength, softness and expressive character.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, Tatiana embraces imperfection, allowing the unique qualities of each fibre to shape the finished work. Her current practice centres on raw fleeces from rare British sheep breeds, preserving their natural colour variations, distinctive lock structures and quiet sense of place. These materials carry their own histories, becoming an integral part of each piece.

Alongside traditional felting techniques, Tatiana incorporates eco-printing and embroidery, expanding the visual language of felt while maintaining a deep respect for natural processes. Every work is made slowly by hand, balancing contemporary form with time-honoured craft.
