PAULINE BEAUTYMAN

Bottle. Handle

Slab built, marked, matt white glaze, 29cm tall

Pauline Beautyman’s vessels bring the landscape to the table quite literally.
Working from her studio on the Holy Loch in Argyll, Pauline incorporates locally gathered clay, river silts, wood ash and sand into her ceramics — materials that leave behind rich, unpredictable surfaces and traces of the places from which they came.

For GATHER, three generous bowls and a collection of bottles introduce something earthy and elemental: roughness against glaze, quiet colour, irregular marks and forms intended to be seen from every side.
As the landscape outside begins to change, Pauline’s work brings some of it indoors — gathered, fired and given new form around the table.

We Are Delighted To Have You!

The studio is a site of ongoing dialogue — between artists and land, between craft and ritual, between what we make and how we live. Our space is small by design, inviting close looking, presence, and reflection.

Here, curation is considered, selection deliberate, and each piece leaves its mark long after you depart.

Move slowly, notice more, leave differently than you arrived.
