Alicia Breakspear is a botanical artist whose delicate monoprints celebrate the intricate beauty of the natural world. Based in Cornwall, her practice is rooted in close observation of the landscapes that surround her—from coastal meadows and woodland paths to the ever-changing hues of earth and sky. Leaves, grasses, and the organic forms of flowers form the language of her work, their textures, shapes, and subtle colours informing each composition.

After studying Art & Design at Plymouth College of Art and Marine and Natural History Photography at Falmouth University, Alicia turned from photography to the tactile intimacy of printmaking. She collects, presses, and arranges botanical specimens, translating their ephemeral qualities into hand-pulled monoprints. Each print is a layered act of care: a first impression captures ink transferred around the plant, followed by ghost prints and final direct impressions that preserve the delicate forms and subtle imprints of her subjects.

The result is a quiet meditation on nature, a record of fleeting beauty captured in paper and ink. Each work is singular, a moment harvested from the landscape and transformed into an object of enduring wonder.

MŌR is a creative gathering, moving in rhythm with the year’s turning.

We bring together artists and makers, works and objects, each attuned to the textures and gestures of the present season. Every exhibition is a constellation — a quiet conversation between material, maker, and moment, attentive to the subtleties of time and place.

The gallery is a site of ongoing dialogue — between artists and land, between craft and ritual, between what we make and how we live. Our space is small by design, inviting close looking, presence, and reflection.

Here, curation is considered, selection deliberate, and each piece leaves its mark long after you depart.

Move slowly, notice more, leave differently than you arrived.
