Luke Holcombe
Digital Print
Luke Holcombe is an artist and printmaker whose work explores our shifting relationships with nature, memory, and time. Through a practice that spans art prints, illustrations, and limited-edition originals, he seeks to capture the unseen forces that shape experience—the fleeting, the fragile, the moments suspended between presence and loss.
Trained originally as an architect, Holcombe was drawn to printmaking for its technical challenge and its expressive freedom. Each process—whether relief, intaglio, or monoprint—offers a way of making marks that no other medium can replicate. In his hands, these marks become a language: traces of hidden connections, layered impressions of the natural world, reminders of wonder found in the overlooked.
Living and working in Bath, UK, Holcombe draws on the city’s dialogue between history and landscape, permanence and impermanence. His prints are at once precise and poetic, balancing structure with chance, discipline with discovery. Each work invites us to look closer, to dwell in what might otherwise slip by unnoticed, and to find, within its layered surfaces, a memory taking form.
