JANE CRISP

Fern Trug. Ash | Olive Ash. Striped

L x 32, W x 27, H x 25 cm

Before the table, there is the gathering.

Jane Crisp reimagines the traditional trug — an object made for collecting, carrying and bringing things home — as something both functional and sculptural.

Steam-bent oak and ash sweep into generous, rhythmic forms, shaped using techniques drawn from furniture and boat-building. For GATHER, her Sculptural, Forager and Fern trugs connect the table back to the landscape beyond it: to harvesting, foraging and the simple act of carrying something from outside, in.

We love that they refuse to choose between usefulness and beauty. Empty, they hold space. Filled, they begin another story.

We Are Delighted To Have You!

The studio is a site of ongoing dialogue — between artists and land, between craft and ritual, between what we make and how we live. Our space is small by design, inviting close looking, presence, and reflection.

Here, curation is considered, selection deliberate, and each piece leaves its mark long after you depart.

Move slowly, notice more, leave differently than you arrived.
