Lauren Norris makes ceramics for the everyday rituals of eating: bowls to fill, oil to pour, small vessels for whatever is gathered from the garden or brought home.
For GATHER, her quiet speckled whites, warm browns and deeper earthy greens bring a natural rhythm to the table. Hand-thrown forms retain the subtle evidence of making — irregularities, marks and shifts in glaze that ask to be handled rather than kept precious.
These are pieces for generous, uncomplicated food and the ordinary pleasure of eating together. Used often, passed around, and allowed to become part of daily life.
